Our Ingredient List (Explained)

Aqua (Water)
Water is the base of our room spray. It acts as a carrier, allowing fragrance to disperse evenly into the air without relying on harsh solvents or propellants. Unlike aerosol sprays, water-based formulas don’t linger as fine chemical mists that can irritate the lungs.

Polysorbate 80
Fragrance oils don’t naturally mix with water. Polysorbate 80 is a gentle emulsifier that allows oil and water to blend evenly, ensuring each spray is consistent and stable. Without it, fragrance would separate, resulting in uneven scent distribution and a shorter shelf life.

Polysorbate 80 is commonly used in skincare and personal care products because it’s effective in very small amounts and well tolerated when used correctly.

Fragrance Oil (Paraben-Free & Phthalate-Free)
We use high-quality fragrance oils that are paraben-free and phthalate-free. These oils are carefully formulated for use in home and body products and are measured precisely—enough to scent a space beautifully without overwhelming it.

Phthalates are commonly used in conventional air fresheners to make scent linger longer, but they’re increasingly avoided in thoughtfully formulated products. Our approach prioritizes clean scent delivery rather than artificial longevity.

Glycerin
Glycerin is a humectant, meaning it helps retain moisture. In a room spray, it softens the mist and helps fragrance settle gently instead of evaporating too quickly. This creates a smoother, more balanced scent experience rather than a sharp chemical burst.

Preservative
Any water-based product needs protection from bacteria, yeast, and mold. Our preservative ensures the spray remains safe and stable throughout its use. We use only what’s necessary—nothing excessive—so the product stays fresh without relying on aggressive chemical systems.

What You’ll Find in Commercial Air Fresheners

Many conventional room sprays and plug-in fresheners rely on:

• Aerosol propellants
• Synthetic solvents
• Phthalates (to extend fragrance life)
• Masking agents designed to overpower odors
• Proprietary fragrance blends with little or no ingredient transparency

These products are designed for maximum scent impact, not long-term indoor air quality. The strong fragrance is often achieved by saturating the air with volatile compounds that linger well after you stop noticing them.

For some people, repeated exposure can lead to headaches, scent fatigue, or respiratory irritation—especially in enclosed spaces or around children and pets.
